I’m a lifetime natural strength athlete dedicated to helping others achieve the same self-actualization I’ve attained by living a fitness oriented lifestyle. I’ve coached several professional and amateur athletes with training goals ranging from bodybuilding, powerlifting, and looking better. My fitness journey began with my own personal health issues. At the age of 22, I was overweight, had pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, and experiencing significant mental and emotional challenges. It was at this point that I decided to change my life through exercise and quality nutrition. Over the course of 8 months I lost 80 pounds, reversed my blood sugar and blood pressure problems and developed the wellness lifestyle I hope to share with you.

I attained professional status in the National Gym Association (NGA) and with the Drug-Free Athletes Coalition (DFAC). I firmly believe that to be a great coach, you must learn from other great coaches and have been coached by some of our industry's best. To further expand my knowledge base, I’ve read countless books and articles on fitness, nutrition, biomechanics, mobility and injury prevention, supplementation, strength training periodization, and hypertrophy. I am also a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).

Academically, I have two Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology. I spent several years helping people improve the quality of their lives by developing lifestyles centered on Wellness. I specialized in Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Wellness Coaching, Alternative and Complementary Practices for Wellness, Metabolic Screening, Gratitude, and Mindfulness. I also have a Masters of Business Administration degree from Kaplan University which propelled me to establish Strength is Life. With my interdisciplinary background, personal history of transformation, athletic achievements, and commitment to learn and apply the latest scientific research principles, I’m confident that I’m exactly the strength/physique/wellness coach to help you … Raise the Bar!
